Centering Prayer Inner Awakening: Prayer & Discussion Group with Joe Toritto
Centering Prayer is a form of contemplative prayer done in silence, a virtual wordless opening of one's heart to God's presence. The method is very simple to learn, and only requires your sincere and trusting intent.
The FREE 15-week meditation and book discussion group meets weekly that began in September but there are openings available to join partway through the program. This program runs through December and held on Mondays from 6:30pm-7:30pm in Our Lady of Peace Church.
Joe Toritto taught theology at Catholic High Schools and colleges for the past 40 years. He directs the Eventide Singers, a Greenfield-based hospice choir and leads Taize prayer services in the Valley. He has been practicing Centering Prayer since 1980.
