We are excited to announce the formation of a new committee examining ways to reach our and serve our senior 55+ parishioners.
Initial Priorities.
- How to connect to members of the church who are ill or who cannot participate regularly in the life of the church when the community gathers.
- How to organize volunteers who will commit to bringing Holy Communion to the home-bound and through these visits be able to keep us updated on each person's status.
- How to provide social activities for seniors that offer opportunities to deepen their experience of community and to share their faith.

This new and important ministry is committed to help members of our church who are ill or who cannot participate regularly in the life of the church when the community gathers.
We have a team of dedicated volunteers who stop by for friendly visits, and make telephone reassurance calls to see if they need anything. They can bring Holy Communion and a weekly bulletin on these visits and check on their needs, making referrals to other community services and programs if necessary.
Our volunteers are the link to our parish and turn isolation into camaraderie and provide hope replacing despair.
In addition, we provide social activities for active seniors that offer opportunities to deepen their experience of community and to share their faith with events, dinners and classes ranging from Bible Studies to Aging-in-Place.

Our new program invites guest speakers about topics that interest our older parishioners and their friends. We provide social activities for active seniors that offer opportunities to deepen their experience of community and to share their faith with events, dinners and classes ranging from Bible Studies to Aging-in-Place.
Faith based and daily living topics are chosen with this active group in mind. Want to learn how to deepen your prayer life? Do you have Tech questions about your cell phone or iPad?
