It is a corporal work of mercy to visit the sick. Our Lady of Peace Clergy and volunteers spend a significant amount of time visiting nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and other care homes.
THE MINISTRY OFFICE SEEKS TO KEEP PARISHIONERS WHO ARE NO LONGER ABLE TO ATTEND MASS CONNECTED TO THE PARISH THROUGH VISITS, PHONE CALLS AND MAILINGS. SO THAT NO ONE IS OVERLOOKED. WE RELY UPON THESE PARISHIONERS, THEIR FAMILIES, FRIENDS OR CARETAKERS TO KEEP US INFORMED. WE ARE HERE FOR THEM.
PRIVACY LAWS MAKE IT DIFFICULT TO GET INFORMATION SO WHEN PARISHIONERS ARE HOSPITALIZED, IN AN AREA NURSING FACILITY (TEMPORARILY OR LONG-TERM) OR HAVE BEEN DISCHARGED TO A PLACE OTHER THAN THEIR HOME IT IS A CHALLENGE
TO KNOW THEIR STATUS. OUR PRIEST, PASTORAL MINISTER AND VOLUNTEERS NEED THIS INFORMATION TO STAY CONNECTED.
PLEASE LET MARGUERITE NOGA KNOW WHEN SITUATIONS CHANGE AND WE CAN REACH OUT.
MARGUERITE NOGA
PASTORAL MINISTER
Our Homebound Ministry is made up of devoted parish volunteers that offer friendly, faith-filled visits and support for our homebound parishioners. They provide companionship and social interaction that may be missing from their daily lives with a listening ear, and engaging conversation. They will pray together, read scriptures, recite the Rosary and give communion. They can arrange for Sacrament of Confession & Anointing of the Sick (by priest). They bring a weekly bulletin, share what is happening at the church. They genuinely care!
If you or someone you know could benefit from these visits, please contact the parish office.
