Our Cemeteries.

Administrative offices for St. Mary and St. Anne cemeteries on Turners Falls Rd. in Montague, and Mater Dolorosa Cemetery on Wisdom Way in Greenfield are located at Our Lady of Peace Rectory. For information pertaining to these cemeteries, including the purchase of lots, answering questions relating to future or past burials, maintenance and record keeping, please contact Betty Hallett or Marcia Caloon.

Seasonal Maintenance.

In order to keep our cemetery beautiful and easier for the groundskeepers, we ask that you remove all flowers and decorative items by April 1st for Spring Clean-up and October 1st for Fall Clean-up.

CEMETERY RULES AND REGULATIONS

We believe in the resurrection of the dead and life everlasting
The cemetery is open from dawn to dusk
Behavior should be reverent and respectful at all times
No pets or animals (e.g. dogs, horses) are allowed
All-terrain vehicles, snow mobiles and dirt bikes are prohibited
The disposal of refuse of any kind is forbidden
Floral tributes must be within 12” of principal monuments
Live flowers are allowed May 1 to October 1
Artificial wreaths and flowers are allowed November 1 - March 1
Management reserves the right to remove unsightly or inappropriate objects
Management is not responsible for damage, loss or theft of any objects, including flowers, pots or veterans’ flags

St Anne's Cemetery - Turners Falls.

Established in 1884. St Anne's Cemetery is the first cemetery driveway on the left heading south on Turners Falls Road. It directly joins St Mary's Cemetery. St Anne's is the northern half of the cemetery. On the ground, the hill forms a small bluff; St Anne's ends below the bluff. St Mary's is the portion above the bluff. On the satellite map view, the dividing line is much clearer than on the ground.
